Ed was named as Best Breakthrough Act at last night’s UK Festival Awards 2011. He beat off competition from Bruno Mars, Jessie J and The Vaccines to claim the title at the eighth annual awards.

Naked Photo Shoot
Ed has revealed he’ll be doing a naked photo shoot to raise money for Elton John’s Aids Foundation.
“I’m not a very confident guy when it comes to taking clothes off,” he said.
“I’ve been persuaded for Elton John’s charity to do a naked photo shoot. So ladies, lock up your daughters.”
Ed did hint that the photo shoot won’t be too revealing though as he may be using a bowler hat as a prop!
“I think it’s all going to be part of a catalogue that’s going to be sold to raise money. A lot of people are doing it.”
Ed is also taking part in the Children In Need Rocks charity concert next month in Manchester.

Ed has been nominated for “Best Breakthrough” at this year’s 4Music Video Awards. Ed is up against: One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Emeli Sande, LMFAO, Jessie J, Rizzle Kicks, Katy B, Loick Essien and Nero.

Ed walked away with the “Best Breakthrough Artist” award at this years Q Awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, last night. Ed beat off competition from Jessie J, Katy B, James Blake and Miles Kane to land the award.
